Chris Hadley - BA(Hons), FSIA Managing Director hadley@quadrantpe.com.au Chris is one of the longest serving executives in the Australian Private Equity industry and was one of the founding council members of AVCAL. Chris has led and managed the raising of all 6 Quadrant funds, the first in 1996, and has been a member of the Investment Committee of all funds. Chris has led and managed a number of Quadrant investments and has been a director on many investee boards. Chris is a director of Quadrant investee companies Seniors Money International, Summerset Retirement Villages, Media Monitors and Burson Auto Parts. George Penklis - BEc, CA Director penklis@quadrantpe.com.au George is also a long serving executive in the Australian Private Equity industry having joined Chris at BLE Capital in 1992 and served on the AVCAL board for four years in the positions of Treasurer, Vice Chairman and Chairman (2001). George has led and managed Quadrant investments across all five funds, is a member of the Investment Committee of the most recent 3 Quadrant funds and has been a director on numerous investee boards. George is a director of current Quadrant investee company Independent Pub Group.
Marcus Darville - MA(Hons), MBA Director darville@quadrantpe.com.au Marcus joined Quadrant Private Equity in March 2006 from AMP where he was joint Head of Private Equity. Marcus has worked in the Private Equity industry for over 18 years. He commenced his career in Private Equity in the UK with NatWest Ventures before joining the AMP in 1994 where he developed AMP’s private equity activity, over a 12 year period. During this time Marcus worked on over 15 completed transactions. Marcus is a member of the Quadrant Investment Committee and is a Director of current Quadrant investee companies Virtus Health, Ortho Group, Summerset Retirement Villages and Media Monitors.
Justin Ryan - BEc, LLB, MBA Director ryan@quadrantpe.com.au Justin joined Quadrant Private Equity in February 2011. Prior to this Justin was Chief Executive Officer of Alesco Corporation Limited, an ASX 200 diversified industrial company which he joined in 2004. Before joining Alesco, Justin was a Director of Catalyst Investment Managers, a mid-market private equity firm, which he joined in 1997. Justin was Chairman of AVCAL in 2003. Justin is a member of the QPE3 Investment Committee and a Director of current Quadrant investee company Burson Auto Parts.
Simon Pither - BA(Hons), MBA Investment Director pither@quadrantpe.com.au Simon joined Quadrant Private Equity in May 2008 from Melbourne-based mid-market private equity fund, Advent Private Capital. Simon spent over 3 years with Advent and prior to this worked for Credit Agricole Indosuez Private Equity in London, investing in mid-market private equity and mezzanine opportunities. Simon began his career with Barclays Capital in fixed income research and trading, latterly working in the European High Yield Group. Simon is a Director of current Quadrant Investee companies Virtus Health and Independent Pub Group.
Jason Cachia - BCom, CA, FSIA Investment Director cachia@quadrantpe.com.au Jason Cachia joined Quadrant Private Equity in July 2008 having previously advised on mergers and acquisitions, primarily for private equity clients. Before joining Quadrant, Jason spent 8 years in Investment Banking with ABN AMRO and JP Morgan, and prior to this, Jason worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 6 years. Jason was previously a director of investee companies Quick Service Restauarants and Summerset Retirement Villages; and was also involved in the successful IPO of Kathmandu.
Alex Eady - BCom, CA Associate Director eady@quadrantpe.com.au Alex joined Quadrant Private Equity in March 2008 having spent 3 years working in mergers & acquisitions with boutique advisory firm Oaktower Partnership and the Ernst & Young Mergers & Acquisitions division. During this time Alex was involved in a number of transactions advising private equity and mid-market corporate clients across a range of industries and prior to this spent 3 years in the Ernst & Young Audit division. Alex is a Director of current Quadrant investee company Burson Auto Parts.
Jonathon Pearce - BCom, CA Associate Director pearce@quadrantpe.com.au Jonathon joined Quadrant Private Equity in January 2012. Prior to this Jonathon was an Investment Director of CVC Capital Partners, a global private equity firm. Before joining CVC Capital Partners, Jonathon was a Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers, which he joined in January 2000, where he was responsible for advising on private equity and corporate mergers and acquisitions across Europe, the US and Asia.
Andrew Gilman - BCom, CA Finance Director and Company Secretary gilman@quadrantpe.com.au Andrew has been in the Australian private equity industry for 20 years having joined Chris and George at BLE Capital in 1992. Andrew is the Chief Financial Officer responsible for overseeing the accounting, compliance and administrative functions of Quadrant Private Equity. He also undertakes initial assessment work and research mandates on investment proposals and contributes to working papers to the Investment Committee. Andrew worked with both Westpac Private Equity Pty Limited (1996-2005) and BLE Capital (1990-1995) in the role of Financial Controller and Company Secretary and prior to this had 11 years experience with chartered accountants Grant Thornton.
Emily Redmond - BA(Hons), CA Financial Controller redmond@quadrantpe.com.au Emily joined Quadrant Private Equity in August 2010 having spent 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers; five years in Sydney and prior to that five years in London. Emily was a Senior Manager in the Financial Assurance division with Macquarie Specialised Funds and BT Funds Management among her clients. She also has had exposure to the media, entertainment and telecommunications industries. Emily is responsible for accounting, compliance, treasury, settlements and back office administration.
Olivia Blight Executive Assistant blight@quadrantpe.com.au Olivia joined Quadrant Private Equity in May 2008. Olivia previously worked as a PR Executive within the retail and fashion industries in both the UK and Australia.
